Ever notice how hair just looks better at the beach? The mixture of sun, sand, and salt water gives hair a sexy, messy look that’s easy to achieve when you’re drinking daiquiris at a seaside seafood shack but much harder to maintain year-round. However, there are a whole host of sea salt hair products out there to keep you in summer-worthy waves no matter the season.

One of the best parts of warmer weather is saying so long to those cumbersome coats and jackets for another year. However, over the winter, many of us have gotten a little pasty under all those layers. As we settle into our shorts and sundresses it can be tempting to go a few rounds in a tanning bed or go without sunscreen until we build up a good "base tan.”

Face it, the summers are hot in Southwest Louisiana so no one wants to trudge around in jeans or long pants all the time. Plus, it’s hard to enjoy an afternoon by the pool or a sunset boat ride in these suffocating fabrics. Selecting the right pair of shorts can be a challenge though and for most, it’s right next to finding the perfect swimsuit on the anxiety scale.

Feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin is one of the best things about spring and summer. However, we're all aware of the potential damage the sun can cause on unprotected skin. Women may choose makeup with a built-in sun protection factor, or SPF, thinking they are doing double duty, but is the SPF effective?

With spring break vacations and summer beach excursions approaching, people want the beginnings of a tan without the unhealthy side effects. Airbrush tanning is a safe alternative to other forms of tanning. The FDA-approved formula used is recommended by dermatologists and reacts with the skin to naturally darken it.
