Lake Charles has a new place for residents to satisfy their sweet cravings —Crave Cookies of Lake Charles. Co-owned by Tommy Johns, Kristi and Cheyenne Boudreaux, and Toni and Kody Cannon, Crave Cookies has quickly become a popular place for treating yourself, friends, or family to the perfect cookie.

Tommy Johns, one of the proud co-owners, shared the inspiration behind bringing the nationally acclaimed cookie chain to Lake Charles. “We saw the success of this business model elsewhere and we started researching it for ourselves,” he says. “We met with the company and after hearing their story and testing the product, we were sold.” The co-owners then started on a two-year journey from the conceptualization phase to the grand opening of Crave Cookies on August 19, 2023.

Crave Cookies, originating from Utah, is a relatively new franchise that has taken the nation by storm with its unique approach to crafting cookies. Every Friday, Crave Cookies introduces a new lineup of six unforgettable flavors, ensuring that each visit offers a fresh excuse to forget your diet and indulge in a moment of self-care with icing on top.

What sets Crave Cookies apart is not just their commitment to flavor but also their dedication to the entire baking process. “We believe in the product. We sampled over 30 cookies – all fresh, flavorful, and unique,” says Johns. “Unlike other cookie chains, Crave Cookies ensures that every cookie is made in-house, avoiding the frozen shipment process.”

The cookie craze isn’t new and it surely isn’t new to the area but Johns says it’s a great thing with each retailer having their niche. “We’re privileged to operate in such a supportive community,” says Johns. “We strive to continue to have quality products and excellent service. Our drive-thru option adds a layer of convenience for those on the go.”

In addition to their mouthwatering cookies, Crave Cookies of Lake Charles offers a unique twist to the traditional soda menu. Patrons can complement their favorite cookies with a full soda menu featuring customizable flavor options.
