Approach
Every individual’s journey is unique. At Milestones Behavioral Services, they believe that the support their clients receive should be just as unique. When Clinical Director Melissa Raymond founded Milestones, she envisioned a place where every individual would be seen, understood, and supported through a compassionate, personalized approach. Her vision guides Milestones, shaping the individualized services they provide to children with autism and their families who walk alongside them every step of the way.
Clinic-Based Services
Learning at Milestones is designed to be engaging because children learn best when they’re motivated. Milestones’ clinics are welcoming, energetic environments where learning, fun, and play go hand in hand. By incorporating each child’s interests into activities and creating positive learning experiences, the Milestones team keeps children engaged while building communication, social interaction, independence, and other meaningful life skills. Every activity, whether it’s play, structured teaching, or everyday routines, is purposeful and designed to help each child succeed.
Family Collaboration and Support
Some of the most meaningful learning happens outside the clinic. That’s why collaborating with families is an essential part of every child’s journey at Milestones. Parents and caregivers receive practical, individualized guidance they can use during everyday moments. This might include encouraging communication, navigating new routines, or responding to challenging behaviors.
For Raymond, supporting a child has always meant supporting the people who love and care for them every day. Milestones’ behavior analysts partner with families, providing ongoing guidance, support, and practical strategies that can be used across environments. As children grow and their needs change, this partnership grows with them, helping families feel confident as their child develops new skills.
In-Home Support
Sometimes the best place to learn a new skill is right where it’s needed most. For some families, that means home. When appropriate, the Milestones team provides individualized in-home support to help children practice and apply skills in everyday life. By meeting families wherever support is needed, Milestones helps children build confidence, strengthen important skills, and carry what they’ve learned into daily life.
Support, Wherever It’s Needed
No matter where the journey takes place, whether in the clinic, at home, or in the community, Milestones Behavioral Services is committed to partnering with families to help children build meaningful skills, gain confidence and celebrate every milestone along the way.
