The Lutcher Theater is welcoming audiences to its 47th Season with a lineup designed to bring Broadway, music, comedy and unforgettable live performances to Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.
The 2026–27 season opens September 26 with 15-time Grammy® Award-winner Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. In October, audiences can experience the return of The Magic of Kevin Spencer–A Sensory Inclusive Performance, followed by the 10th Anniversary Tour of Waitress, featuring music by Grammy® Award-winner Sara Bareilles. November brings The Carpenters Songbook: A Live Celebration and the new Broadway production Mystic Pizza, based on the beloved 1988 film.
The holiday season comes to life December 6 with Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol, featuring Parton’s songs and the spirit of her classic Christmas storytelling.
The new year continues with an eclectic mix of performances, including Chicken Wire Empire and the Tony® Award-winning musical comedy Shucked on March 18. April features Jason Scheff’s Chicago Nights with the Symphony of Southeast Texas, followed by the musical comedy Beetlejuice on April 27.
The season continues in May with A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, a Broadway celebration of the legendary singer-songwriter, before closing June 9 with the Tony® Award-winning musical The Wiz.

Beyond its main performance series, the Lutcher Theater continues its commitment to the community through educational programming. Its Lutcher Incredible Kids Events series brings nationally and internationally recognized touring productions to area students, with performances designed to support classroom learning while keeping the arts accessible to local children.
Since opening in 1980 with a gala performance by Liberace, the 1,500-seat Lutcher Theater has welcomed generations of audiences and some of the biggest names in entertainment. As the new season begins, the theater continues that tradition by creating opportunities for the community to experience the magic that happens when artists and audiences come together.
